I would give them more than 5 stars if I could! Not only is Dr. Taub excellent in his specialty, he inspires excellence in those around him. He is great to talk with--clear explanations, patient with questions and though busy, is never rushed during our appointments, taking care to be sure all questions and possibilities were addressed. Without exception, all staff are friendly, helpful, caring, and quick to follow up as needed. The medical team for the surgery was similarly excellent, and the results have also exceeded my expectations.

My husband saw Dr. Taub for a second opinion and we immediately felt like he was the right surgeon and didn’t leave his office without scheduling his surgery. He had an ACDF C6-7 a week ago and is doing amazing. He has not had any of his prior symptoms since he woke up and has not had any pain. He hasn’t even had any medicine in the last few days. Not even Tylenol. I can’t praise his staff enough either. They were always so kind, helpful and called us back that evening if we ever had a question. This may be a long review, but truly I have been through 15 months of pain and over 7 different specialists who said there was nothing wrong.

In April 2023 I was cleaning out the garage. At no moment did I feel like I hurt myself. The next morning I woke up sore, but figured I was a 34 year old guy who had over done it. The pain only increased and a month later my lower back was in a ton of pain. I couldn't bend forward without sharp pain and I couldn't lift my left leg at all (failed the straight leg raise every time). I went to 6 orthopedic surgeons, 1 neurologist who specialized in nerve issues, and 2 hip specialists. I had scans of my brain, neck, lower back and hips. I had two EMGs. I had two nerve blocks. I did 6 months of PT. All of the images and tests came back fine and the injections did nothing for the pain. I even had a surgeon imply the pain was all in my head.

My aunt is a pediatric neurosurgeon out of state and recommended I see a neurosurgeon before giving up. She did some research and recommended Taub based on his schooling and training. From the first phone call to schedule, to arriving at the front desk, every person I spoke to was so kind. The entire staff is five stars.

Taub listened to me, reviewed all of the information I brought to him and within about 5 minutes said he had a pretty good idea of what was causing the issue, but wanted to run one more test. I had a CT myelogram done and a week later I had an answer for the pain. Taub was patient and answered all of mine and my wife's questions about surgery. I had never been under or had an operation before (I was even awake when I had my wisdom teeth out) and I had only had 2 IVs in my life. Taub was confident and compassionate when it came to surgery.

I had surgery July 25 and was pain free when I woke up. In recovery I was able to lift my left leg. I have recovered amazingly and can't wait to get back to my life pain-free. I was up walking the same day and now at 8 weeks post-op am walking 6-7 miles a day. Everyone that sees me says I am in amazing shape after surgery. I would not be here without Taub and even my wife said she will be sad to no longer see him. He is an exceptional surgeon and I would trust him again and again. I have recommended him to everyone that asks.

Long story short: Please see Dr. Taub if you are having issues. He is one of the best doctors I have encountered and could not recommend him more.
